The overall attention to detail with our NRG home is outstanding! Shannon is very in tune with the daily progress and progression of the entire build. There was never a day in the 4 months it took to build our home that progress was not made. The sub-contractors that Shannon uses every step of the way are nothing but top-notch professionals in their specific areas. Shannon makes absolutely sure that all the subs know the time schedule, what is expected, and when the next group is coming in. Tonya is absolutely amazing!!! What can we say!! She was so involved with us every step of the way on all design details both inside and out. She was very specific with many of the finer details in our home that separate an NRG home from competitors. My wife went over her wish list with Tonya for both interior and exterior design and she absolutely knocked it out of the park bringing it all together. My husband and I had been searching for a new home for several years with no success, when we ultimately decided that building was the best choice for us. The idea of building and designing a home from the ground up seemed overwhelming. That all changed once we met Shannon and Tonya with NRG Construction. To say our experience with NRG has been amazing is an understatement. From the first time we saw one of their homes on the Parade of Homes, through the design process and construction, and ending with getting the keys to our dream home, the process was flawless.
At the start Shannon and Tonya sat down with us as often as we wanted to plan all the design details and tweak them with savvy creativity to fit our needs. Because of their ability to listen to us as clients we ended up with exactly what we wanted. As custom homebuilders, NRG gave us just that, a custom home. That doesn’t just include the structure. Tonya, who has an amazing eye for style, helped us through every little detail of colors and accessories. She set up and accompanied us on every appointment we had with different suppliers, kept copious notes, and offered us great choices in sync with our concepts.
The total hands-on approach and attention to detail were just a few facets of their method that made it easy. Multiple times as we talked to the various sub-contractors, they mentioned that Shannon always paid attention to quality and is a stickler for timeliness and perfection. This opinion wasn’t asked for, and it was obvious they all truly felt this way when they offered it. He pays attention to the little things on a regular basis, and his knowledge of the whole construction process is impressive. He hires the best, from what we could see.
As far as staying on budget goes, NRG’s skillful construction management and online tools for the homeowner assured us of no surprises.
Another thing that NRG excels at is energy efficiency, which is very important to us. The SIP construction and radiant heat throughout are a part of that. The house is quiet, air tight, and just has a very “solid” feel.
As the owners of NRG the Grismers take pride in their work. This is well-deserved, as they make the whole process so much easier and much more fun than it could be. On top of the obvious quality, that is what sets NRG apart. We would use them again in a heartbeat.
